Community Service Committee
Community Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest. Learn more in Communities in Action: A Guide to Effective Projects and this Community Service presentation (PPT).
The club is currently engaged with the following projects and organisations:
- AFAP - Action on Poverty : a small Sydney-based international aid charity working in Africa, Asia and the Pacific to help people to help themselves

BowelCare : BowelCare is a not-for-profit Rotary community service which commenced in 1990 with the view of providing the general public in our Rotary District with an affordable annual bowel screening program

Tree of Joy : providing Christmas gifts to those people who might not otherwise receive one

Crows Nest Festival : Crows Nest Rotary has a stall promoting the Club, fostering membership; also sells Raffle Tickets

Phoenix House : a Crows Nest community-based organisation that has been in operation for more than 30 years. It provides services in a safe environment that empower at-risk and homeless young people aged 12-24 years to develop to their full potential.
