PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Greetigs all

What a week that was?   First, the Crows Nest Fair last Sunday. A HUGE thank you to Lea Condell for her splendid organisational skills.  What a crowd? What a beautiful day?   Plenty of questions about Rotary and what we do.  Met Virginia who might become a transfer Rotarian.  Met an Italian Rotarian (Ross still remembers his Italian), met three girls from ROTARACT in the Philippines. A drop in from our AG Jenny and surprise visit from DG Christine.  We had a great day and plenty of exposure for ROTARY.
LATE BREAKING NEWS:    Two investitures on Monday 30th October at the Crows Nest Hotel, Lunch not dinner!   Louise and Catherine to become members.  All available members please attend to support this leap forward in our membership drive.
Lots happening, so looking forward to seeing you all on Monday 30th - lunch.
Cheers for now, off to press my suit for the occasion.

President Tom.

Thanks to the efforts of a number of members, co-ordinated by Leah Condell, Crows Nest Rotary had a extremely successful Crows Nest Fair.

As well as reminding locals we are a key member of the community, we had 182 children taking part in our guessing competition, which lead to 12 "expressions of interest" in the club from their parents. Positioned between 2 food stalls with their queues crossing our stall, we were able to "engage" with the public non-stop.
