Another week, another successful BBQ, at last we are starting to see the return of good earnings from all the hard work we put into a BBQ, ie net proceeds of $422 and $67 in donations! So as President, I would like to express my thanks to all those volunteers who work hard at our BBQs! With your exertions, we are able to help our Communities through funding our projects. Currently there are BBQ procedures we need to improve upon, firstly the use of the Square Point of Sale, and to ensure we have all aspects covered, when Bruce heads north. In addition, it goes without saying, when Howard does the rosters, we need to do our best to support him, (even if it means doing an afternoon shift).
Following the success of the Italian Fiesta at the Raveane’s last week, Phil has booked in the next social evening at the Condell’s residence, Bilgola Beach. The date is the Monday 4pm, the 26th of April, (last day of the long Anzac Day weekend). So please, make sure you put that date in your diary now! If the date causes concerns for anyone, please let me know.
In the meantime, I know it is four months away, but please enter another date in your diaries! Our Presidents annual Changeover Dinner is booked for Monday 28th June 2021, at 6.30pm, at the Northbridge Golf Club. No doubt pandemic restrictions may impose a maximum number of people who can attend, so please let me know if you would like to attend. Formal Invitations will issue soon, so first in to register will guarantee a seat. We are hoping to have a high ranking member of the NSW Government to address us on the progress being made fighting the pandemic.
Due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, Bunnings hasn't yet given us dates for BBQs at Artarmon for the month of March. Watch this space!
Please support Howard in his quest to build up a list of volunteers. Latest Roster - Click here.
