PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Hello, Members and our Rotary Friends receiving this eBulletin.

Firstly I wish to pass on from Phoenix House, CEO Paul, a big thank for our support of their Corporate breakfast last Tuesday. It was a great success, and special thanks to MC Tom, and key note speaker Michael.

It is with great pleasure I can announce the winner of our colouring in completion. A nine-year old called Breanna. Again thanks to Leah for organising, and Marcella for judging.

We also have a winner for our Melbourne cup trifecta. Bill Lee sold the winning ticket and thanks to Angelo for organising.

Finally I look forward to seeing most of you next Monday for our Giving night. Past President Philip is flying down from Queensland to recap on his donations for the year. An excellent chance to reflect on the impact that our contributions have on our community.

International Toast:  No toast this week.

We had a healthy club discussion on the Pros & Cons of merging with North Sydney where individual opinions were expressed and outstanding questions answered. The next step will be a formal vote on the proposal at the AGM on Monday December 5th.

Phoenix House breakfast on Tuesday 15th November was a great success, with the usual excellent jobs by Tom & Michael. Their CEO, Paul, phoned to express his Thanks stating that financially they broke even, and that they have numerous "leads" being chased up.
