PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

Ian is on sick leave this week, but looks forward to seeing you all at the Union Hotel on Monday.

Last Monday's meeting was quiet due to a number of apologies, including the President & Guest speaker.
I'm looking forward to February with a number of interesting Guest Speakers, and a couple of face to face meetings.
Brad Anderson from Orange Sky, Prof. Tony Basten on COVID 19, and our own Michael McQueen.

Yours In Rotary

Next Monday's Meeting the 1st February - Orange Sky

Brad Anderson from Orange Sky will update us on their recent achievements.

Orange Sky have a simple formula; to provide a platform for every day Australians to connect through a regular laundry and shower service. The focus is on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community. Their volunteers are not social workers or experts on homelessness - they are empathetic listeners and great conversationalists.

THIS meeting(Feb 1st) will be held back at the UNION HOTEL. 12.30pm for 12.50pm start.
Ground Floor not upstairs.  Corner Pacific Highway & West St.

For those not wanting to use the Ridge St car park there is free 2hr parking on roads west of the Pacific Highway.
(Mchatton St, Crows Nest road & Hazelbank St)

Note: Next meeting (8th Feb) will be via Zoom at 12.30pm Monday.
