Rotarians,

Another busy month of club activities.

The board agreed that I continue as President for 2026/27 year, starting July 1st.  Despite no new President there will be a Changeover Dinner on Tuesday July 7th, to acknowledge our achievements, so please diarize it.

I will go through the new roles at our Club discussion meeting on April 7th where I will also summarise what was a productive “President’s Training session” last week. Whilst I discussed the March board meeting at the last meeting, I encourage you to read the minutes (Link is on right hand side of this eBulletin).

On Tuesday March 16 we had visitors from Florida and Sweden who were vey engaged in the club meeting. Their feedback was very positive. Our guest speaker gave an enlightening and engaging presentation on using AI.

As mentioned at the March 17 club meeting, we do have some funding available through district grants to support community activities. If you have any ideas or know of any community programs that need support please bring them to the next club meeting for discussion

My highlight of the month was visiting Cammeray Public School assembly, with Louise, where Tom presented a Cheque for $1380, and then with great enthusiasm  joined the children in the National anthem. Thanks to Louise was organised everything, and Angelo & helpers for running the BBQ which raised the money. (see story below)

The monthly BBQ was again a success with $1960 profit. My thanks to all those involved.
Please have an enjoyable Easter with family & friends and hope to see you on Tuesday 7th.

YEAR OF THE HORSE

"Dreams gallop fastest when you feed them daily with intent and action"

On February 24 North Sydney Sunrise hosted a Chinese new year dinner which many of the RCN members attended. This was an enjoyable evening with a great speech by Iain Clark on "China in Transition" based on his many trips to China.

At the end of the meal when the fortune cookies were handed out, Sue suggested we keep the quotes and put one in each future ebulletin. So, every ebulletin during the Year of the Horse, we will have a word of wisdom from a fortune cookie.

Cammeray Primary School Donation
Donation to Cammeray Public School:  On a bright beautiful Monday morning , Mark ,Tom and Louise attended the morning assembly at Cammeray Public School. We were greeted by a lot of eager faces and beautiful music from the school band and Welcome to Country. After listening to the school notices Tom made a short speech to the students of “the best school on the North Shore” and presented a cheque to the principal for $1380 for the Visual Arts Program  This money was raised at the welcome back to school night were we sold 450 sausages in an hour and half. A new record for Rotary.
A great outcome with collaboration one sausage at a time.
