PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Dear Friends

Sorry I couldn't be with you last Monday evening as I had an important AGM to attend that evening.    From all reports it was an excellent night with Darian from CAREFLIGHT as our guest speaker.  What an important organization for all those folk with major injuries requiring immediate transition to a hospital?
BUNNINGS BBQ
I want to take time out to thank our Rotary members and our BBQ buddies on the BBQ roster.   Yes I'm on it too however this commitment to Bunnings (thanks Ian) and the invested time it takes to make the wheels work (thanks Mark) and the Team Captains (George,  Ian, Mark &Tom) with major input from Angelo . Ross and Howard - this is a well-oiled operation that results not only in substantial funds raised but also places Rotary as an organisation that definitely puts SERVICE ABOVE SELF.   Thankyou all.

APOLOGIES
I promised I would have a survey out a few weeks ago, to test the waters as to how our Rotary meetings could be improved.   We don't seem to attract those members to who the lunch and evening meetings were designed for.    Naturally we can improve with your suggestions, so I will have that survey for Mark to distribute very soon.
D- CAFE
Sue Raveane has appealed for our Club to donate a small amount to keep the D-Cafe as an ongoing community based event.  I'm sure she will get the support she needs to make this happen.

Best wishes to all
PRES. TOM
