Hi everyone at Crows Nest.
Short message this week after the bumper one last week.
Last Monday's evening meeting at the  Crows Nest Hotel was to be polite, somewhat of a disaster!    I thank the five members who attended plus Wendy Sullivan and I thank the six who offered apologies.    This alternate time slot in order to attract younger members and those perhaps working- is not ideal and so needs further discussion at Board level.
On a bright new level - at this week's Bunnings BBQ, our new supplier Coles St Leonards, is up for it and hopefully we will triumph!
Lots of great guest speakers coming up so either Zoom or attend. See you all at GASLIGHT at Pymble Players on November 21.
Cheers for now
Yours in Rotary
Pres Tom.

It was a very quiet meeting with heaps of apologies due to holidays & illness. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable dinner,
and a seek preview of Tom's 'Famous People' presentation.
Angelo has 14 for our Charity night at Pymble players (Gaslight), on November 21st, which is getting great reviews.
Howard is seeking volunteers for a BBQ on Saturday December 30th. This is the only BBQ in December, so please call Howard if you can help.
We are currently redoing the roster for 2024, and it will be available later this month. We only have 1 BBQ in both January & February.
Member news:
- George is finalising our nominations for next January's RLYA.
- Bunnings have given us 2 $50 vouchers, which we decide to donate to Andre's charity night as 'door prizes'.
- Tom has agreed with the local Police inspector for him to talk to us on Domestic Violence. (dec 4th)
we are also locking in Careflight  to talk to us.
- Trifecta sales have completed. More details next meeting.
New member Catherine is asking that members consider sponsoring her in her "Sleepout" at Centennial Park.
Where Will the Funds Go?
Funds raised at the SleepOut will go to The Haven Project. The Haven Project builds homes for well-established youth homelessness charities, which then operate them. The funds raised have a very tangible effect on the lives of at-risk youth in Australia. Haven South Dowling for the Salvation Army is the Flagship project, which will have 19 bedrooms and is our key focus at the moment. You can find more information about the South Dowling project here:
