Once again, the BBQ was the highlight of the week. While the cold Saturday morning 6C, meant for a slow start, from lunchtime the activity picked up, resulting in a $1100 profit, with the added bonus of all BBQ supplies being used. So not a bad ending to the usual hectic day.
Very interesting and thought-provoking Guest Speaker today, in Paul Rogers, the new District Officer for Ethics and Working with Children (WWC). Ross is our independent on WWC, a process we understand. The question of Ethics in the operations of a Rotary Club is an ongoing topic for future consideration.

In the meantime, next Monday is the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, so there will be NO Meeting, but stay safe.
Next Meeting is Monday 21st June at 12.30pm, Face to Face at the Union Hotel, cnr West St and Pacific Highway. Our Speaker will be Mr Alex Bowler, who works for Bunnings and is going to tell you 'what you always wanted to know!'

The objective of the Ethics Matter – Rotary modules is to foster a deep working understanding of the requirements of ethical professional behaviour in all dealings with fellow Rotarians, the public, government and business.
During the Meeting;
International Toast - was proposed by President Ian to Rotary Club of Bangkok, Thailand. Chartered in 1930 and now has 87 members covering 18 nationalities. The Club advocates; "Rotary Pillars What are the four Rotary pillars? Membership, Programs, Projects, and Fund Raising. By Building on each of the four pillars we will develop an outstanding Rotary Club".

- District assembly (part 3) continued on 30 May 2021 with Membership and Image presented, and video copies will be played and discussed at coming meetings.
