Dear Members and Friends,
Once again, the BBQ was the highlight of the week.  While the cold Saturday morning 6C, meant for a slow start, from lunchtime the activity picked up, resulting in a $1100 profit, with the added bonus of all BBQ supplies being used.   So not a bad ending to the usual hectic day.
Very interesting and thought-provoking Guest Speaker today, in Paul Rogers, the new District Officer for Ethics and Working with Children (WWC).  Ross is our independent on WWC, a process we understand.  The question of Ethics in the operations of a Rotary Club is an ongoing topic for future consideration.
A special note to all Members and Friends; our Changeover and Pride of Workmanship Dinner on the 28th of June, is three weeks away.  So, if you haven’t already, please don’t forget to contact our Secretary Mark 0419 619 530.
In the meantime, next Monday is the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, so there will be NO Meeting, but stay safe.
Yours In Rotary
President Ian

In “Ethics Matter – Rotary”, we must examine collective & individual decision making and seek to determine what are worthy human actions and why.
An aspiration of every Rotarian must be based on an ideal of honourable service.
Rotary, has a series of published Modules on the District 9685 FB – Web Page which cover: scenarios, Role plays, research, principles of professional responsibility, relations with others.
  • What does it mean to be an Ethical Rotarian
  • What’s The 4 Way Test All About?
Rotarians must seek to maintain the highest standards of integrity, honesty and fairness in all their dealings.
The objective of the Ethics Matter – Rotary modules is to foster a deep working understanding of the requirements of ethical professional behaviour in all dealings with fellow Rotarians, the public, government and business.
