PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Hello, Members and our Rotary Friends receiving this eBulletin.
So nice to have our new District Governor along to our Meeting for the first time,a lovely lady by the name of Mina Howard.
Mina hails from the Blackheath Club in the Blue Mountains where she has been a member for almost 20 years.A retired primary school teacher, with a passion for overseas travel.
Mina wants Clubs to work together on projects wherever possible, and having read our Strategic Plan, was most impressed with what we had to say.
Quoting from the new RI President,Jennifer Jones, her aim is to have a Rotary made up of 50/50 Male/Female,which to my surprise we apparently already have in our District.
She like our objective of all members having a say, irrespective of position or years of service in the Club. Also stressing that we need to  really sell Rotary to the community by letting them know what we are about and what projects we are involved in.Need to encourage members to learn more about Rotary through the myRotary website, and read up on Rotary,in particular publications such as the Down Under Magazine.
Mina was accompanied by Libby from Blackheath Club also,Libby is organising the Annual Conference in Cowra from the 17 to the 19th of March next year, and is encouraging everyone to come along.
So another great Club Meeting, with a great Guest Speaker
