Saturday's BBQ went OK,ran out of bread.Just a reminder to the afternoon clean up crew,to make sure the utensils are clean before returning them to the trailer.Cyril banked some $1800 for the day.
Appears as though we have missed the boat,so to speak for the Crows Nest Fair on the 21st of October.Too many members being absent over the last month and communication issues with the organisers.Need to double our efforts to make sure we are there next year.
Looks like the Poker Night will not go ahead this year ,as the only workable night for the National Poker League,the organisers , is a Sunday , which is not really workable for us.
the Rotoracts Meeting planned for the 25th of October looks in jeopardy as it appears there is only 2-3 interested despite all the work by Andre of Chatswood Sunrise.It will still be an item for discussion at our next Board Meeting.
Peter and Celia Coote ,having just returned from an African Safari, came across a potential water development project in Zimbabwe worthy of follow up.
From PC,Beecroft Club has commenced a local community project which is to supply Taldumande with toiletry starter packs for the homeless.We have started a collection of motel/hotel toiletry items which will conclude by the 3rd of November.It is hoped to create some 500 kits.

There will be a BBQ as an upcoming Children's Week event on Thursday ,the 25th of oct at the Crows nest Community Centre . Our Club has been asked to provide 2 volunteers.
our services are no longer required for the Invictus Games BBQ to be held in Manly.Locals see too much political mileage to gather rather than tolerating Crows Nest outsiders.
Kate reported on the Guest Speaker we had last month from Canteen,a charity supporting youth cancer.Unfortunately with so many being absent last month it was decided that we would invite the Spaker back again as the schedule allows.

Throughout the year, many of our Members visit outside organisations who play a part in our Community. This week, our 'Youth Director' visited the Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) in Falcon Street, North Sydney, where he was met by the new Manager, Daniel. A Tour of the facility followed, together with Daniel relating the many Programs they run for the benefit of our local Youth.
