NEPAL EARTHQUAKE APPEALS
On Saturday 25 April, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. The next day a 6.7 magnitude aftershock caused further damage and casualties. Over 2,200 people have been reported dead, and many thousand injured. Yesterday's earthquake was the worst tremor to hit Nepal in 80 years.

From Dianne & David Waterhouse of the Rotary Club of The Entrance in relation to RAWCS Project 78-2014-15 : Nepal Earthquake Appeal to fund Humanitarian Aid, Kavre & adjoining Districts, Nepal.
This situation report describes the situation that Dianne and I are working in. We are desperately in need of money to buy food. I was wondering if our club and the clubs on the Central Coast or indeed Rotary District 9685, could contribute something towards this project. Our problem is that the situation is desperate and we really need funds within the next three days as it is a very poor country and they only live from day to day. The foreign aid that is coming in is going to Kathmandu but the outlying Districts also need help.
