I really enjoyed the meeting on Monday and feel like we are making progress towards a clear mission for our club. I like the idea of dividing our work into 4 or 5 main “categories’ so that we can focus our time and efforts. For those not at the meeting on Monday, we discussed the projects we are currently working on and brainstormed further projects so that we can start wide and narrow down to the ones we want to work on. We also discussed the possibility of advertising on social media and in local publications.
We have arranged for Lucy Jones, CEO of Neuroblastoma Australia to speak to us next week about their gala and fun run and this week we have Luke Davis - Radio 2GB.
LUKE DAVIS - Radio 2GB - will be our guest speaker next Monday Sept 11.
Luke first started at 2GB as a 'work experience' man in his mid twenties and soon found himself as an assistant to Alan Jones as his driver. Luke then progressed to one of the co producers for the Alan Jones show - the highest rating breakfast show in Australia. Luke as well assisted the Continuous Call Sports program on 2GB as a producer and in addition now co hosts his own program 10pm Friday nights on 2GB. The ratings for that time slot also won in the recent ratings
Luke is also a long time member of Willoughby Theatre Company and is an accomplished character actor and singer.
Luke will talk about what it takes to be on Breakfast Radio and also the heady world of radio in general. Don't miss this talented 32 year old - who is on the way up in Sydney radio.
